If any team not wearing purple and gold told you they were going to win the CWS with two starters and a mash-up of relievers, you guys would laugh them straight out of the building.
But when that team happens to be LSU, Mainieri gets flamed.

The problem with your comment is that last statement. We're getting too used to saying it at the end of the season.

Not to mention an offense that, once well-scouted, cannot hit the ball very well.
