you're using career recognitions to validate something. Wade's prime brings more to table than Pippen's prime. Sure pippens a great defender but D Wade is a clutch baller that was capapble of putting 30 on the board night in and out in prime healthy.

The Bulls won 55 games with Pippen as their only star. The Bulls were 5-7 when Pippen returned from an ankle injury and then won 30 of 35.
Pippen as the alpha was pretty damn good.
