$300/month for our two year old's 529 plan. We currently have around $22,000 in it. I'll make large contributions a few times a year.
Set up your plan by yourself or with the help of a trusted financial adviser. Don't let an adviser set it up your savings plan because they'll take a percentage of every deposit and there are upfront costs.

State 529 plan $200 month per kid. Got started kind of late and the 14 year old has maybe 30k. Fortunately I have enough income to pay cash and some RE to sell if it gets that bad LOL.
