It was a national stage and everything unraveled... was kind of similar to me.

Our defense held that Bama offense to 5 field goals for 3 1/2 quarters despite our offense not crossing the 50.

For some reason this makes me laugh everytime I read it...

Face it.. there were NO silver linings from yesterday... Threonly positive is that we get to go watch the Tigers TRY and score more than three runs tomorrow////////

Not at all. For starters, LSU outplayed them for the first third of the game, even having a runner thrown out at the plate. The defense unraveled yesterday which did not happen at all in the title game against 'Bama. That was strictly offensive ineptitude and questionable strategy by Miles in not playing Lee, all leading to the defense getting tired late in the game.
If Poche gets the first two outs in the 4th as he should have, the entire game could have changed. Foster also had a poor secondary lead with two outs when he was thrown out in the third. Yesterday was a lot more about TCU taking advantage of LSU mistakes than any sort of player domination. Hell, at one point in the third and 4th innings, LSU had 5 hits in 8 batters but because of poor execution garnered only one run. Poche's a great kid but he got rattled yesterday by his own doing, moreso than anything the Frogs did.

Not even close--if you can't hit, you can't win-TCU pitched well, we didn't--Frogs put the ball in play and we didn't--
