I'm tempted to try it, but I've been doing a little research and it seems like it's tough to do better than basically break even. Plus it's a ton of work to even do that well.

This is true, even for the Terrace seats (though there is a higher level of return than on club tix)

I have Terrace seats (lower). Runs me about $2,500 a season for the pair. Due to a family illness last year, I was forced to sell my tickets since I wouldn't be able to attend.

After eating the worthless preseason tickets, I was almost $400 in the hole. Was able to make a few bucks on a couple of games, but four of the games went for less than 60% of face value and two failed to sell with significant markdown.

In the end, I was about $600 in the red and didn't attend a single game. It's hard to break even after absorbing the cost of preseason games and the aftermarket is pretty Luke warm aside from prime time games.

Don't buy if your plan is to sell. I've seen people do it but usually it's on the cheap seats where the investment is low.

I have the cheapest terrace tickets. The face value for them is $340 per season ticket. I sell all my extras for between $750-$850 each year. I have them sold before the second payment is even due. This is the best way to sell them. Now, it does make it easy having the cheap seats as compared to yours and other more expensive ones. But I agree with you that buying these tickets the OP is talking about, isn't worth it if you are selling them.
