It became a "football thing" the minute Penn State administration and Joe PA decided to handle things they way they did to protect the football program. You can try and spin this out any way you want but thats the real bottom line. Most of you all are rightfully appalled at the institutions that put the betterment of said institution in front of properly handling turning over of child molesters and rapists in almost every other situation yet somehow when Penn State did it there is a loon faction that comes with these sideways arguments.
Its pretty amazing.

Penn State harbored pedos.. The St. Louis Cardinals glorify men that drunk drive, kill themselves and kill their girlfriend.. etc. We obviously need to take a long look at the sports culture in America today. Not much has changed since Penn State..
