Played so long my astro A50's died. Charging them now Haha. I was playing with a big party earlier. I'll say this though, I almost prefer playing solo while questing. Constant banter from your friends in the background make the game less immersive.
All the people saying this game in nothing like Skyrim are wrong. Yes there are some major differences, but the general feel of the engine is the same.

Yeah I tried to do a little bit while on lunch break, it was pretty rocky trying to log in. I hope everything stabilizes over the next few days.
BTW, most of the 'guides' I've read so far are fairly out of date. So look for newer guides if you're into that. I read one telling users to create hireling bots with their extra character slots..but apparently craft hireling skills have been nerfed and do not yield mats like they used to.

At Dusk we RIDE!
I plan on making a second character. I want to make a Tanky Nord and design him to look like Ragnar from the Vikings series on The History Channel

What are the main differences?

The first and only reason.. Skyrim is a single player game. ESO is an MMO.
What makes ESO great though is how it feels a lot like Skyrim in my aspects; character design and menus esp.

How do you completely disable area voice chat it's annoying that I have to go in and leave area channel every time I travel to a new place

You can turn it off in the social section menu. Not sure if prompts again each time you go to a new area but I know you need to turn it off again each time you die.

The inventory system is some bullshite. No weight just slots, a 2H hammer is same as a strawberry? This makes crafting a nightmare. I'm already destroying shite left and right to keep under 60

You can either respawn where you are or at the your last located shrine (I think that's the second option).
I only got up to level 6 last night. Been playing every little quest that I run into
Just now ventured to the outside of Daggerfalls (I think that's the city I was teleported to after the prison).

Apparently there is storage at the bank and you can upgrade your bag for 400 and a horse adds to capacity

Have you found the Mage or Fighters guild quest people once you join? Their arrows show up on compass up top but can't find them for life of me.

This is going to be one of the most fun, and time consuming games I'll ever play. Sunk over 15 hours into day 1 and there is so much to still do in the first area. ESO on consoles will be known as one of the greatest turn arounds in history. Sure there are small things that need to be patched but this game is amazing.

Shallan Davar
She has, admittedly, grown on me after the second book. Was not really a fan after the first.

The Mage guild is around the center of the city you spawn into it after the Prison tutorial. Go into the main city then open up your map and just scroll around until you find it. Yes, I joined the Mage guild and have started the quests but haven't completed them yet because I keep running into other quests as I'm making my way to the quest marker
Also, you can cycle through all accepted quests and make them the active quest using the right button on the D-pad.
