Fortunate to slip by Houston after being no-hit?

Uh, yeah.

You scored and an error in the 9th...and then won it on a HBP.

That's pretty much the definition of lucky.

Uh, no.

We did not score on an error.

Clement put down a beautiful squeeze bunt with Butler sliding in safely at home to tie the game. We put pressure on them, and they broke. Call it what you will, but we made our own luck.

I've said it in another thread and I'll say it again, we gave ourselves a chance to win in the end because we played great defense and pitched great after that solo bomb in the 1st inning. Keeping it a 1-0 game till the end is just as important to us winning as getting HBP in the last at bat.

Baseball is a 9-inning game. 1 HBP did not determine the whole game.

Normally ULL is a strong matchup for us but not this year. LSU has a 800 lb gorilla with a chainsaw penis slinging the rock this year

Cajun8, I applaud you for trying to be rational in this shitstorm. Somehow going 3-0 against the #13th and #19th ranked teams in the country is complete luck, while not being able to score more than two runs against the mighty UNCW Seahawks is some amazing accomplishment that should have Cajun fans shaking in their boots. Is LSU the better team on paper? Sure. But that doesn't always mean you will win, as LSU fans should know with what happened to them with Houston and Stony Brook.

...after a walk and an error.

When you score the tying run based on a walk and an error, you should recognize the good fortune.

When you score the winning run on a HBP after a swinging bunt, you should recognize the good fortune.
