Actually IMG is playing Southern Lab this year in October some time.

So they have to adhere to high school rules.

So how does a kid leave Louisiana and become eligible immediately without his family moving?

Because it's a private school. Sort of like Findley Prep in bball.

They actively recruit players from all over the country.

Alright lemme just explain to everybody how it works to stop the speculation:
-99% of the time it starts by IMG contacting you with interest after you attend one of their camps for whichever sport you play
-next, they fly you down there for an interview, you practice with the team, and they show your parents around and if you perform well they invite you for full time attendance
-to clear up how it's allowed, you enroll in one of 3 IMG affiliated high schools and go to school there during the day. IMG is specifically a sports academy that has no academic aspect at all, basically your parents pay for high school and IMG separately
-they aren't allowed to participate in a league because based off of size they'd probably be 1A or 2A but aren't allowed/don't want to compete there for obvious reasons. They basically schedule exhibitions against other willing teams in Florida, but they have private jets and charter busses to bring the teams across the country for tournaments and OOS games which are what they mainly focus on
-not sure what I left out but if anyone has any other questions I'll fill y'all in, I moved there from New Orleans and graduated from IMG in 2009 and still live within 10 miles of the school so I stay pretty up to date with new info
