Hey TP have you ever been checked for MS?

No, but I don't think that's the problem. I saw an ophthalmologist maybe two years ago about this on account of I'd heard about an operation that could remove them. She said:
• The floaters I have are the conventional type, simple hardening of the aqueous fluid.
• The operation, called a virectomy I believe, is the laser removal of floaters. She--and the medical literature I've read as well--said the operation carries risks that it it inadvisable.

As I wrote, I experienced my first noticeable floater at around age 12. I'm now 62, so I've lived with the bastards for 50 years. Over the years I've developed more--I now have five large ones in each eye. But the best advice I've been given is simply "deal with it."
