It's ashame for those being born in these situations and not knowing anything different. How do you change generations of this?

....same can be said of areas in Livingston Parish.

It'd be great if there was a Black President, who received 93% of the African American vote, that would step in, set a great example, and really motivate people to do something with their lives instead of perpetuating the victim mentality.

Unfortunately, such a President doesn't exist.

Yep. These people are brought in to this world basically with both hands tied behind their back and no chance of bettering their situation. They have to somehow have some serious mental toughness to get out of the hood. Few have it but most just fall in line with the rest.
