Reds, I have heard that Sweetwater is a good place to launch out of. Do you suggest going down there to launch?

Yep. Just paddle down the canal across from there and duck into the marsh wherever and you should find fish. Bring gold spoons and your favorite weedless swim bait and you will catch some reds.
