Anyone who thinks The Box is ahead of Baum at this point is wearing homer glasses. A case could be argued for Carolina Stadium being ahead as well. Both of those stadiums feature full chairback seating, and far better attention to detail. Baum already has more suites than The Box, and is adding more.

When/if Mississippi State gets done with the Dudy Noble Field reno, we'll slip behind that stadium, too.

All I'm saying is, while The Box is pretty great, LSU can't stand still. The numbers are almost certainly there to justify an expansion to The Box. I'd say adding seating for another 2,000 fans would be accommodated with ease by our fan base. And I'd bet large LSU could sell more suites as well.

Edit: Here's the proposed Baum Stadium renovations:

Maybe the box isn't the best but you can make an argument for it.

Now I haven't been to those other stadiums, but when it comes to our fans I don't think any stadium will ever match the box in atmosphere. Sure we don't have a place to cook out in the outfield, but the box is rocking when it comes to big games. Look at the Texas A&M series this year, I know it's the old box but there was no better atmophser to be in than the UCI super regional in 08.

The Box has the largest capacity in the country.

The extras we have in the box also put it above the others. The box has one of the best stadium entrances in the country. Champions square is very nice, and the hall of fame is pretty cool too. Also I know we don't have as many suites as other schools but the champions club behind home plate is pretty amazing, and you get the best seats in the house.

What sets apart other stadiums are chair back seats, which is pretty nice, and the book out areas in the outfield.

It is very easy to make an argument that the box is the best baseball stadium in the SEC. Based on the atmosphere, the entrance, and the champions club.
