if they are eating the rat poison, just keep putting it out, as it takes a while for it to work...
be careful with it though, as it will kill birds and pets too...and it is not a nice way to go, at all.....

This times a million. I wouldn't frick with rat poison outdoors. Or indoors if you have pets or small children.
