My point is there are no guarantees in life. People are just assuming that if he goes Ivy League, he makes way more money.

And like I said, I'm not trying to defend Alabama. It blows my mind why he wouldn't go to Stanford, UVA, Notre Dame, etc. instead of Alabama. I just think the whole connection/degree factor is severely overblown for Ivies compared to other elite universities around the country.

ivy league grads make more money on avg than alabama (or any SEC college grad); we have quantifiable evidence that those connections are valuable.

Kind of like there's no guarantee this kid goes on to med school, leaving him with just an undergrad from Bama when he could have had much more from an Ivy school?
