My vet told me that the drug companies only guarantee the drug when sold by a vet, so if your dog has a reaction, you're SOL vs if you buy it at a vet clinic, you may have some recourse.
I've also heard stories that those companies sell expired drugs or give "replacement" drugs.

Your vet is a good sales person.

The only thing that is different is the dog on the front of packaging and weight specifications. The two sites that I listed are very reputable for an overseas operation and do not sell expired medications.

My dog almost died from taking Trifexis that was purchased from my Vet. I'm pretty sure they would not buy me a new dog like the one I have now. After this took place I did some research and there has been multiple reports of this drug killing different breeds across the U.S. And yet my vet had no idea.
I understand the point you are trying to make but the vet will also try and sell you on science diet food or whatever they get a cut on and that's some of the most unhealthy food available for dogs. They get a incentives for using certain drugs just like doctors.
