I witnessed a pump overflow at the gas station last Sunday. Is it bad that the first thing I thought of was what would happen if I lit a match and tossed it over there?

I once saw a guy accidentally leave the nozzle in his truck and he pulled away before he realized it. Instead of going inside and owning up to it (or just leaving it sitting on the ground), he tried to reconnect it himself. He ended up breaking the connector while he was standing underneath it and was treated to a shower of gasoline. I bet a dozen or so gallons came out before they got it shut off.
