re: Any way to soundproof a room?

I just went and bought 5 packs of 3/4" foam insulation. At $9 a pack, it's worth a shot. Going to make 4 panels at a couple of inches thick. Tack it to the windows at night and see if it helps any. I just realized there's' a 1" gap where the window and frame do t meet up. That could have been the entire problem. Going to close that up and see.
