I just went through all this a couple weeks ago with my Aqualink. All those bad storms came through and lightening got the motherboard. I have worked on this system before with no problems. I called the guru down in Florida and ordered a new board for $435. Got it in and proceeded to install it on the way out to work. Didn't realize i put one of the plugs backwards and it ran for about a minute and died. Fried the new board. Take $435 and light it on fire. 
Called the guy and he laughed and said he would hook me up on the next one. Got the paypal invoice for $415 LOL.
