naw it wouldn't, it would be more like an ironman finger with some functional improvements...it could definitely provide him with more dexterity or help with certain tasks needing more precision ... I would envision him using something like that "as needed" ...something like this :

You must not remember being 9 years old. The kid in class with the barely noticed short middle finger will soon be known as the much more noticeable robot kid. Nobody wants to hook up with the kid rocking the terminator hand anyways
