Apparently somebody cares because there are rules in place about it.

I have a hard time believing that the rule is in place because the NFL thinks it gives a player an advantage. More than likely the manufacturer of the ball has a recommended psi range and that is how it became a "rule". Brady likes the ball at the lower end of this range, I don't think he specifically requested a certain psi for the ball anymore than Luck did in that same game.

Let's take an extreme example of why rules need to be place.....would you agree that a completely deflated ball would be easier for a running back to carry without fumbling......assuming so, what would stop a team from substituting a deflated ball on obvious running plays, especially on the goal line?

I realize that is an extreme but without rules in place that could happen. Every qb has different size hands and prefers a "certain" feel with the ball. Personally, I don't care if Brady likes the ball at 13 lbs instead of 15 lbs. But he willingly broke a rule, got caught and then did not cooperate with the investigation.

This is a very easy fix.....all the owners have to do is LOWER the accepted level of air pressure.
