You've gotten plenty of responses from each branch on this thread.
The question is, do you want to join the "military" or the military?
Meaning, do you want the full experience, or do you want to be comfortable? Plenty of jobs for both types of people and there's nothing wrong with either choice despite what some people will tell you.
