I was listening to The Move- Message from the Country today in the car. The Move, of course, was the band Jeff Lynne joined a few years before ELO with the expressed purpose of eventually forming an ELO type band with Roy Wood. They only made the one ELO record together (No Answer), before Roy Wood left. Probably best for all involved, too much talent between the two, one had to leave. ELO II started the band most know today because with that album they became solely Jeff Lynne's band. Actually, ELO II is a very good album. Some long songs & their first hit in America (Roll over Beethoven). You could tell from II that Jeff Lynne was onto something big and yes, by their 3rd album, 'On the Third Day' they became the band that started their run of greatness.

Yours Truly 2095 Not the official video but better than looking at the "Time" album cover for 3 minutes.

This thread got me thinking of ELO songs which of course leads to WTF was that movie Xanadu all about which makes me think of being a "tween" thinking of
Olivia Newton John...

Jeff Lynne was/is a very underrated song writer and musician.
