Ex GF? Ex wife with whom you have children? If the former, she has a point. If the latter, not so much. Ex spouses are part of your life to some extent, especially if you share children. Does she talk about her ex?

Ex GF (sort of). Someone I dated regularly for a few months but it never got real serious. Granted, I have mentioned her a few times in passing so she probably has a point. I do kinda like the new one. Just was curious if her confronting me on it raises any red flags that I have a clinger on my hands.

To answer the OP question. What is the context of you mentioning the ex. Sounds like one of you is "off" but can't tell which one without context.
