This is absurd.
Give them a public indecency or some misdemeanor if you have to give them anything. Don't ruin their lives for this shite.
Should have just detained them and let them go to scare em.

Well we fundamentally disagree on the presence of danger to the child.
Where do you draw the line? What if a kid walks in on his parents fricking? What if he sees people fricking on TV? Let's just put everybody on the sex offender list... I'm sure we've all done something "dirty" before.

I must have missed the part where the only person that this could affect was the 3 year old.

well it sure as hell isn't a danger to any adult on any level

Where they doing it in a public place for all to see?

Not the same.

That's definitely what I'm suggesting.

Who is going to scar? Someone may ask their parents some questions they don't feel like answering but is that worth a lifetime of registering as a sex offender? I'm usually really liberal when it comes to psychological defects and the lack of importance put on them, but this is mostly poppycock.
There is a gigantic difference between a kid catching a glimpse of consenting adults going to poundtown and a kid getting diddled so why is the punishment so similar?

if you're claiming seeing adults have sex is a danger to the child, why does the location matter?

Sorry but they are predators in my book.

What they did was dumb,
Yep

I don't want to be taking my kids to a beach and have to worry about them seeing people getting it on on the beach.
Me either. Arrest them, detain them, write them a ticket, whatever.
Jail time and sex offender registry? Are you kidding? Who do you think pays for this horny couple to go to one of our overcrowded jails?
Sex offender registry is for actual predators. Like rapists and child molesters. You can't tell me, with a straight face, these people fit this mold.

So... if a kid sees fricking in public it's a problem. But if it's in private then it's no problem.
Got it.

Clearly we need to do a better job protecting the children. Maybe start filtering/censoring TV/internet in households where children reside, make copulating legal only with govt approval, then finally closer monitoring of all behavior inside a house. Think of the children we could protect.

God forbid our kids see basic bodily functions. This would have been laughed at in this country less than 100 years ago.

wonder how the view points here would change if i happen to be staying at a hotel on a beach during spring break and my 3 year old looks out of the window and sees 2 college kids fricking on the beach?
Posted on 5/5/15 at 8:34 am to terd ferguson
Colorado legalizes marijuana and now look at this country, people defending the rights of people fricking in public! Won't nobody think of the children?

Better start saving up for therapy and get a lawyer on retainer just in case.

Danger? I'm not sure what danger the child was in. Was in inappropriate? Absolutely. But danger?
Hell, I caught my dad doing my mom a couple of times when I was a kid. Should he be in prison? Even though I saw that and remember it (I was probably 5 or 6), I think I still turned out ok.
Oh wait...
Posted on 5/5/15 at 8:36 am to hendersonshands
or...if this were 2 smoking hot 22 yr old females going at it?
Posted on 5/5/15 at 8:36 am to LSUTygerFan
Better film it for courtroom evidence.
