He's not a suspect as far as being the one who actually killed her and the baby, but it's rumored that he didn't want the "excess baggage" following him through his NFL career and the hefty child support checks he'd be required to pay. Like I said, the DNA results will be interesting... if that baby is his, things could get ugly for him real quick. In the end he's either going to be vindicated or possibly facing the death penalty. Honestly it only really matters that he *thought* the baby was his. I'm sure they have he cellphone etc. and know they have been in contact (would not surprise me if she had been documenting). So they will know if the situation was becoming acrimonious, and I doubt they blew up his draft because there didn't appear to be any issue.
