You think teams wouldn't burn a 5th round pick on a top ten player even if there was a slight possibility he never played again? You're fooling yourself if you think he gets passed over 252 times

Was Collins considered a top ten pick? I agree with your general premise but I don't think he was considered a top ten talent

Like you said in a later post, unless the BRPD came out and named Collins a suspect between now and Saturday, if any team says they wouldn't spend a 5th rounder on him, they would be lying.
The odds of your 5th round panning out, much less staying on the team a whole year, is pretty slim
