But no we should stay where we are and get the best LB/OL available. Collins or Beasley at 13 would be nice

It's going to take a lot to trade up in this draft and the teams at the top are relishing their spots because they know there is premier talent in this draft. There's a lot of talk about different teams trading up for Mariota, especially the Eagles.
As far as the Saints are concerned, I think they should stay put, they will be able to land a stud player at #13. I can see them possibly trading the #31st pick though. I would love it if Beasley or Williams fell to them at #13, but I doubt they will. That's what makes the draft so interesting though, you never know what will happen during the draft, so all we can do is just keep guessing till draft day!

NO if any trade it needs to be back. Why ? because they have had the fewest draft picks of all NFL teams.

I would trade up only for Williams or fowler. 2 of the best players in the draft who can make a immediate impact. Getting one of those guys is better than getting 1 with a pot addiction and another guy who may or may not work out. I was all for Gregory until I really started thinking about it, he may end up being the next Blackmon, Deion Jordan or josh Gordon

Depends on what it would take to move up. Though, I'm really falling in love with the idea of drafting La'el Collins.

That takes on a confusing meaning when its a choice between only two options. I mean, logically speaking, they're both correct because one being the correct answer makes the other option reflexively also the correct answer.
Next time, just say what you mean instead of shrouding your point in a paradox that will keep my mind spinning like I'm trying to figure out a Singapore test question.

I was against trading up until last night. If we can grab Williams or Fowler and only give up a second and/or a tree I'm for it.
If we can grab one of those guys plus a stud ILB at 31 i would consider our defense greatly upgraded. 9 rookies won't make the active squad. I'm all for maximizing our chances of a hit with more picks, but those two guys are as close to "can't miss" plus big impact as you can find.

Should the Saints trade up to get Leonard Williams or Vic Beasley?
would people like to give
#13
#31
and God know what else for one of these over paid rookies ??
NO WAY !!!!!!!!!!
I would be so disappointed if they did.
We need PLAYERS!! 1st, 2nd and 3rd round PLAYERS!!!!
Not just 1 Player and bunch of 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th round players.
This Saints Defense needs Multiple players.
at #13 there's a player that would make this Defense better.
at #31 combined with our #13 pick there's a player that would make this Defense a lot better.
at #44 there's a player that would make this Offense better.
Plus those 3rd rounders ... we can be a Great team
Total picks: 9
Top-50 picks: 3
Top-100 picks: 5

2 44
3 75
3 78 from Dolphins Kenny Stills
5 148
5 154 from Chiefs Ben Grubb

Now that Gregory and Ray are falling, i'd rather just select BPA at 13 and take one of them at 31. I think one maybe both fall that far.

I agree with this!!
Let's pull off a New England Patriots move, Trading back has never hurt them huh ...
especially at #13 , If we can't get the player we want. Trade with a team like cleveland and get there #19 plus a 2nd or 3rd rounder .. that would be sweet.

The Saints' affinity for aggressively moving up has proven especially damaging when they have sacrificed future assets for current players. In 2011, the Saints acquired the 28th pick in the draft from the Patriots in exchange for their second-round pick and a future first-rounder, which ended up being the 27th pick in 2012. In essence, the Saints gave New England a second-rounder to wait a year and move up one spot. The Saints then used that 2011 pick on Alabama running back Mark Ingram. In his career, Ingram has averaged a pedestrian 4.2 yards per carry. In his best season, in 2014, Ingram ranked 13th in the league with 109 DYAR (nearly 40 percent of his career total). As they did in the Sedrick Ellis trade, the Saints created a situation where the only way they could get a reasonable return would have been for Ingram to become a star player. Additionally the Saints ignored their own history of finding running backs on the cheap (like Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles, and Khiry Robinson), and their inability to develop Reggie Bush into an every-down back.

I only trade up for Fowler and won't be surprised if this happens.
