Is the Braves' move to the suburbs the start of a new trend?

Given the riots of the misguided troubled youths in inner cities, maybe the Braves were ahead of the curve. I bet the Orioles wish Camden was in the 'burbs about now.

Hahaha no

Stadiums in the burbs is an awful idea anyone who has lived in or around a major city will tell you that.

Camden is just fine were it is near the inner harbor

The Braves are moving bc attendance in the city sucks

I'm sure as the race wars start that they'll still feel this way. They had to lock up people from leaving yesterday and postpone the game today.

Because people didn't like going to the middle of the hood with their family at night.

I've been to about 50 O's games there it's fine stop this bs nonsense

Suburb stadiums are awful been to countless Redskins games and everyone hates it.

Just bc the Braves play in the hood doesn't mean everyone should follow their lead and leave the city. These stadiums in the city bring up the area. Issue with Camden is the hood and area lots of young professional types live are both a short walk away. The area has got better since the 90's

Playing outside the city causes all kind of problems transportation wise just look at the new 49ner stadium this year

Lol. Camden is in a phenomenal area. I loved the atmosphere there when I went.

The suburbs might work for the Braves, but it really should depend on each team.

white flight bra

part of the fun of a stadium in the city is everyone from the burbs heading in the city and making a day of it all.

or the Cowboys

and Redskins games are fricking miserable, your only option is to stay in the parking lot for 2 hours after the game and booze. No bars no nothing around. People are begging for the Skins to move back to DC for almost 20 years.

Downtown Pittsburgh for a Steelers game is amazing boats on the river, people tailgating, bars around the stadium packed.

Which I can assuredly tell you, is not the case in Atlanta.

Camden Yards is in a great location. I've been to about a half dozen games there and they are a blast. Much better location than Atl Fulton County Stadium, Turner Field, or the new ballpark.

This thread is retarded. Camden Yards is a great location and never felt in danger. Stop with this fear mongering. Baltimore will overcome the thugs.
