You forgot Youngblood and, to a certain extent, Strange Brew.
It's because hockey people are fun and they make fun movies. They stick together, have their own language, and are cultish. Goon, bender, duster, dangle, snipe, cellie, sauce, flow, clapper, just a few terms that, if you kow what they mean, you speak the language. A good hockey movie will live in iconic status. I was at a Total Hockey store in Bloomington, MN this weekend and they had each of these films for sale on DVD on the rack.

Goon is so great because it's a movie about chirping, and no sport holds up great trash talk to such a high degree as hockey, except maybe basketball. I mean, Goon is just overstuffed with outstanding lines of people busting each other's balls (as is Slap Shot).
But hockey also has that baseball Code of honor stuff, so it can circle back to the serious stuff pretty easily. It's a sport built for movie dialogue.
