i'd consider us the biggest x-factor in the bracket... we might have IMO three solid pitchers who might be enough to get us to Sulphur, or we might have a team who just dominated a district that doesn't even hardly play baseball and would be overmatched against a team that does

You just described last year's King team perfectly.Undefeated in same district last year. Team with good pitching that would have given lots of teams trouble in a best of 3 but went to Barbe round one and got smacked around. Now West Monroe is no Barbe but playing in a district that weak is not good for you. Being challenged makes you better obviously. That said, going up there and winning would be great for Chalmette. Would get Jesuit round 2.

Looks like you were prolific with your comment about having a team that dominated a non-baseball district during the regular season and being overmatched against a perennial top bb team in the state.
