My main issue was Matt Damon showing up. I can't really explain why, but he just seemed odd and out of place in this film for me.

I agree. He was too big of an actor for that role. It totally took me out of the movie and made me think "Huh, I didn't know he was in the movie. How did I miss that he was part of the cast?" Nolan should have used a lesser known actor.
Overall I liked it, but thought it was one of Nolan's weaker films.
I'm not surprised SFP didn't like it though
. I knew his post would be negative when I read the thread title and saw his name.
