Bon Creole from New Iberia usually has a food booth. Awesome poboys. Actually, there is plenty of awesome street food throughout the festival. Nearby restaurants and bars are usually open if you need a respite from the heat (as long as you're there to buy). Do you have a bag chair? It's always handy to have guaranteed seating carried with you.

Cabbing it in Lafayette can often be difficult. Uber will be available, a luxury cab service called SHOFA will be available, and Acadiana Transit will also be available. Your hotel might have info on those (SHOFA costs $23 for up to four people).

We did french press brunch last time and really liked it
