Mike Brown memorial tree destroyed
quote:
It was only one day after a tree was planted in Ferguson, Missouri, in honor of Michael Brown, that it was destroyed by a supporter of Officer Darren Wilson.
Along with vandalizing the tree, the accompanying memorial plaque was stolen.
Local KMOV news explains that “the tree was dedicated by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association on Saturday, but was found vandalized on Sunday morning.”
“The memorial,” the continue, “is along a walking trail in January-Wabash Park in Ferguson.”

Local KPLR reports that the police say they are “investigating” for “possible witnesses,” but they claim that they “have no suspects at this time.”
One park visitor said, “it’s not going to get any better if you keep having stuff like that happen.”
Another asked, “I can’t understand why someone would want to cut down the tree. What, they want to start something back up again?”

Somebody did it again? It was already done once.

Why is he being memorialized in the first place?

He's someone's son who is dead. I'm not a fan but lets be cool about it.

he was a thug pos who got what was coming to him. a memorial of any kind is extremely disingenuous and disgusting.

Kinda reminds me of the Cardinals with the Taveras patch...

How do they know it was a supporter of Wilson?

Let's say that he actually succeeded in taking Wilson's gun from him in the struggle inside the car, considering what he did to the convenient store owner a few minutes before the Wilson altercation, we can assume that he was a violent kid who used his size to either intimidate or over power people.
Therefore, we can assume that he may have shot Wilson if he would've succeeded in taking his gun.
Now let's say that when the cops eventually found him after killing officer Wilson he would've likely been killed by the cops anyhow.
Therefore, different scenarios lead to the same conclusion in the end.
Would you find it appropriate that a tree honor him if he would've succeeded in taking Wilson's gun and killing him instead? I mean, that was his initial intent. What makes his death by Officer Wilson any different?
A thug is a thug. All of the sudden murderous thugs deserve public memorials?
What the frick kind of world are we living in now?

It is but so is going out of the way to destroy it.

no, righting a wrong is never disgusting

I guess this thing just didn't work

It is just as likely that a "hands up don't shoot" dumbass vandalized the tree to start shite as it is that an Officer Wilson supporter did

A memorial implies virtue, honor, and citizenship.
How does Michael Brown embody those traits?

They don't, but it destroys the narrative that it wasn't a supporter of Wilson.

Of course it was a racist white person, which by their definition is any white person who lives in St. Louis.
Whites are the problem.
Blacks never do wrong. Always innocent.
