Overreact much?
It is sick depending on what they did but it's also too broad of a term to be a "sex offender" Someone could get it for pissing in public or some other dumb incident. A 17 year old kid could have to register for sleeping with his 16 year old GF.

I agree.
Bring back public executions and be done with it. Instead we "rehabilitate" them and then act surprised that they do it again.

I pulled up my address and there is a pedo that lives directly across from the county park (which is in my 'hood) and another one who lives directly across the street from the school (also in my 'hood)
THought that was illegal to be within that range of kids.

My cousin is a registered sex offender. He had sex with a drunk girl while he was in college. They were both extremely drunk.
She claims rape. He can't really remember what happened so he pleads down and does about a year in jail. They were both 21 years old.
I'm not excusing what he did or what may have happened. He told me he was black out drunk and I believe him. He hasn't had a drink since and he is about 40 now.
My point being not all sex offenders are pedophiles and serial rapists. He was just a dumb college kid who made a shitty decision that he doesn't even remember making......
Now he is on that list for life as a rapist.
