New car. All day.
Longer warranty for the new one versus what could be a lemon, lower insurance costs (slightly) and better gas mileage to boot.
The Honda Accord is a good choice.
EDIT: I agree on the underpricing of the used cars you listed. Maybe a '12 ES 350 low miles, but not a £S450.

I would never spend 30k for a accord. Buy a 1 year old of that with low miles and save tons
