That is what is infuriating to me is that we were not here 20 minutes and they started talking about putting him down because of his age, if that's common then, ok , I don't want him to suffer , I'll suffer , but if it's common for dogs to live longer and still be happy at the same time then I want to know what the problem is before I even consider putting him down. I want the vet to look at my dog like its his families dog and then tell me what's best. I'm not going to let them put him down. I've made that decision. Worse case I'll tell them to give him something to make him comfortable through the night and then bring him to his normal vet and get a second opinion. Thanks , y'all. Good decision, get a 2nd opinion. My dogs are my children, I would do everything I can to help them, and I would absolutely get a 2nd opinion. Best of luck!
