I don't agree with all of Mulder's criticisms, but they are certainly are not without merit. If the movies can't withstand critical scrutiny, then that is a flaw in the movie.
I think his issues with the lack of demonstration of the stakes and the lack of sex are both well-taken. I like the Marvel films, but I'm not going to pretend they are perfect, and beyond reproach.
My disagreement is that I think the films have varied in tone enough to not feel like treading the same ground. And while there is some weakness in the big team up film (call it the Crossover), I think Marvel has nailed the individual films. I loved the first Avengers film, but I'm not sure we need to see it again. The big team-up films are, by necessity, going to be a bit cluttered. Civil War can work if it focuses on Cap. Have a ton of characters, but focus on Stark v. Rogers worldviews. But the Avengers has to give everyone their equal time, and also the big set piece battle sequences. I haven't see the film yet, but I am nervous about it.

either I've become a cynical a-hole, or everything sucks
the only medium that doesn't disappoint me today is television
maybe others felt the same way about a pup named Scooby doo or muppet babies
