Obtain marker line, which is just a function of average daily balance in checking account. Draw out marker line and make the first several bets large when the pit boss is there to note average bet per roll, or hand, or whatever. Tip dealers at least something. Pay back marker line every day. Repeat. No resort fee. No room charges. Sometimes free food. Do not eat at uppity strip places. Eat at Hugo's Cellar or The Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Better food, better service, lower price. Purchase show tickets from Tix4Tonight, pay $3 more and get 25% of off meals at some better places.
They wrecked that town, but if you know how to work it, and prefer substance over style, you can still have Old Vegas.
I haven;t and won't pay for rooms in LV, and I have no idea why anyone who gambles at least moderately does.
Won't work for weekend like the Pacquiao Mayweather fight, but even then your rooms will be deeply discounted.

Yeah, I know how to work it pretty well and am higher rated than I probably should be.
I will say the pit bosses at PH and the Wynn (where I usually play) pay attention well and know that trick of varying bet size when they are watching. I've noticed them a lot more on top of it and adjusting my avg bet fast. Also at cesars. Paris seems more lax along with ballys.
I name those as I try and keep all my action within the cesars properties as they give me the best comps. I'll usually stay at PH from Thurs-Monday and get at least 3 nights comped.
