Boutte gonna be a monster.

What has Brumfield done that makes you think he will take Bouttes spot later on? A lot of people are unfamiliar with Boutte and seem to disregard him. He appeared in every game last year and in 8 games as a true freshman. Lael Collins loves him and said he's the strongest guy on the team, extremely hard worker, and has all the ability in the world. Plus Boutte plays with a mean streak. He was our top backup OL last year and can play both OT and OG. Boutte is going to be a very good player for us.

And nothing against Brum, he's gonna be a good player for us as well. But he was 1 of the few players that redshirted last year and I don't see him going from not playing / red shirting to jumping Boutte in just a few months. And Malone will probably be the top backup OL and not sure Brum jumps him either. His time will come though, just has to bide his time, stay patient, and get better.... Just like a lot of OL do.

CC sure thinks so. He's stated publicly that Boutte has the potential to be a great one. Les commented yesterday that once he gets his footwork ironed out, which he's been doing this spring, he was going to be hard to handle inside. With Tuehema and those other maulers coming to town this summer, the '15 team may be the deepest(talent-wise) LSU OL since the '07 squad which had several future pros on it. Good problems to have.
