It is just disappointing that they do things like add a scene with ole girl teaching Gilly how to read and more gay sex - things not in the dadgum story at all, taking valuable screen minutes away from a perfectly good story they're already not telling.

My counter to that is if we're not going to have Connington and his grayscale, then she serves that plot device. And given the attention that's been paid to it in both mediums, I have a feeling it ends up taking a major character down.
