Like Superman feels that he's above everyone. I thought it was pretty clear that Superman is not interested in all of this attention. He is not in approval of this God like worship. That's what I got from it.

I agree. I was surprised when I saw that some people thought this way. Some even say that he looks like a villain. Clearly there's no way that's possible.

well neither was just standing there while his father died in a tornado or making zero attempt to fight Zod outside of the city
