Wrong here...

These letters could have been taken from my wifes classroom..If half of her students had better home lives, we wouldn't have nearly as many issues as we do

Please explain what is wrong with this? I have a lot of friends who are teachers, and especially with elementary kids, they are a huge part of their lives and make a really solid connection. The kids are genuinely sad when they know they won't be their teacher the next year. The connection between a teacher and their students is a special thing. I don't get what you people feel is messed up about this.

Yeah this is almost certainly true, but what this person is doing isn't helping that at all. She's not offering up a solution of ANY SORT. Just trying to evoke an emotional response. This is the worst kind of worthless activism, promoting awareness. It makes a few people feel better about themselves because they made some people sad about something they'll forget about in a few minutes. This type of heart-string pulling should be mocked because it's less than worthless.

Back to non-sense:

99% of all American issues could be resolved by more thorough and better funded welding instruction for all students K-12.
