Going fishing with the gal I've been dating, who happens to be a fishing enthusiast and a lot more knowledgable than me.

Does anybody familiar with the area know what would be biting this weekend and where to look? Also, what kind of tackle should I take? Btw, I will be fishing from shore.

All help is appreciated!

Lol. Why don't you ask her?

For tackle and equipment suggestions. For what's biting where in TX check out the Tx fishing forum LINK

Throw a Senko around Lake Fork Marina. Lots of retreads around there because of all of the tournaments of the marina.

Sit up front.

Hit her with the green grater afterwards.

If you're having to fish from the bank, the marina's are your best bet (Lake Fork Marina, Oak Ridge, etc...). The only other places to bank fish are around the bridges. There are a lot of retreads around the marinas.
