Why can't you find another job in Tampa? I heard it's awesome for yuppies.
If you have a great job offer lined up in Austin, take it. If you aren't happy in Tampa, what would make you happy in Austin. Scenery change can also change your mood though, so I say go for it.

My degree is in Sports Administration...Already done Whorelando and the Disney thing.
I feel like a change of scenery could do wonders. I won't deny how awesome the beaches are and downtown St. Pete is super nice and up and coming.
I just haven't been able to find many job opportunities down here that interest me or at least pay decent. Everything I find that is in my area of expertise (Building Operations/ Facility Management) wants to pay damn near minimum wage. You name it Sports venues, concert halls, hotels, government buildings. I am not looking to make a killing but I also can't survive off of 25k/year,

Because you can tell by his voice that he's one of those the-grass-is-always-greener-on-the-other-side types who spend their lives moving from city to city looking for the land of milk and honey with a bright shining hill and streets paved with gold. I can save him a lot of time and money by telling him that all cities have a nice part, all cities have decay. Just stay put.
