Acer Aspire E5-571-uq Can I upgrade processor

I have an Intel Core i5-421OU 1.7 GHz processor and I need at least 2.0 GHz to run the HD capture software for the Elgato.
Got the laptop late last year so I hate to have to get a new one if I can just upgrade this one. Paid like 480 for it, so no big loss if I have to spend a couple hundo making it work.
Requirements Need for Elgato:
USB 2.0
2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB RAM
I have
USB 2.0 (2)
1.7 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB DDR3L SDRAM
Intel HD Graphics 4400
64 MB Graphics Ram
Obviously after I capture the HD input, I'll edit it. So, if any of the above will make me want to pull my hair out, let me know. Thanks!

Core 2 Duo is really old. Newer i5 chip is way faster. So you're probably okay.

You cannot upgrade the CPU. It's on a BGA (soldered).
Have you tried to run Elgato at all? Because your i5 stomps all over an Intel Core 2 Duo. GHz is not nearly as important as architecture and IPC. I seriously doubt any software is going to refuse to run because of clock speed. It would be a fantastic waste of money to upgrade the processor even if you could.
