I wouldn't exactly label Pippen a role player. By 96 he was the second best player(or at least top 5) in the NBA.

i dont really think Kawhi is a role player either. He's just kind of stuck with a bunch of good players. The same way Pippen was always over shadowed by Jordan.

Pippen was good but never a top 5 player. "by 96" does that mean he was a top 5 player over a few years? Would prob slot him somewhere in the top 15 players. The year Jordan retired he was really good though.

But "By 98" his first year with HOU, he was pretty much done.
