Agree completely.
Take a look at all the outfielders in the majors and list the names who have below average arms. Short list, there are none. All I'm saying is that to be the best outfielder in college baseball you must be able to throw (and run and hit for power).
Those good arms in the outfield do make the opposition play more conservatively. I really don't understand why SouljaBreaux thinks that by having good arms in the outfield and making the opponents take less chances they have more opportunity to score. They make it difficult for teams to stretch that long single into a double or the double into a triple. They make it difficult for a run to score from second on a hard hit single. How much is that worth over the span of a season? If SoluljaBreaux is right then all of baseball has been doing it wrong. They need more below average arms in the outfield so their opponent will not play conservatively and so fewer runs will be given up.
A novel idea.

Stevenson makes it difficult for teams to stretch that long single into a double or the double into a triple because he gets to the ball so quickly that the base runner wouldn't even think about testing the worst arm in baseball.
O and by the way, Stevenson turned a loss into a win with a throw...imagine that.
