If I wanted to buy recreational land

I'm not necessarily in the market right now, but I'm always looking on land buying sites to see what's out there. If I wanted to buy recreational land for hunting, camping, farting around, what would you look for. I wouldn't be in a position to buy lots of land, but would 30-60 acres be enough for 1 person? I seem to find places in Mississippi for 2.3K to 3.5K an acre (southwest and central MS). This is really me just thinking out loud, but I'm coming here to get learned. Thanks!

That size piece of land is manageable for one person, depending on what is around it and what type of trees are on it...

This is exactly what I'm looking for.

Im not sure this is allowed so admins delete if not please....I have a cabin for sale about 10 minutes north of Liberty,Ms. It's only got 3 acres with it though, a tractor shed and 12x26 metal building. It is only about 7 miles from the homochitto national forest and lake Okhissa .

Uf you don't see anything when searching call Case land company and ask for Todd when you're ready. They deal exclusively for recreational land in Mississippi. If he doesn't work out for you call Cade T. With whitetail properties.

I'll keep that in mind. But really I'm just trying to figure out what to look for at this point.
The wife wants me to start looking at 5-10 acres in Louisiana to build on when I retire, so my thoughts are getting the best of me. Why not get both eventually, right?
