Putting an NFL team permanently in London is a logistical nightmare.
They could never host a prime time game because they would be kicking off in the middle of the night local time.
Travel from San Diego to London would be ridiculous. The traveling team would be at an ultimate disadvantage.
Imagine the London team playing a home game on Sunday at 4:00 pm EST (9 or 10 out there) and then having to play a Thursday night game stateside.
Having an NFL team in London is Goodell's wet dream but it just logistically can't be done. If the NFL is going to expand outside of the USA, they should take a look at Toronto and Mexico City. Bills already play some in Toronto and Mexico City is the second most populated city on the planet with a ready made stadium. If the NFL were to ever catch on there, it would open a whole shitload of possibilities.

Just because Azteca is big doesn't make it an NFL stadium... suites? Fan experience?

As someone living in the UK right now I can tell you youth participation is rising. There is interest among many and they view the games each week. Many, if not all, universities have american football teams themselves. In addition to that, many Londoners need have interest in a particular team.
Tax laws can be managed through bonuses, this is something dealt with my many major sports teams already. Players will enjoy living in London just as they like to live in NYC. It is a major international city and the link between the U.S. and Europe in many ways.
Travel is the only concern, but somethig that can be managed with scheduling properly. A team traveling isn't gonna fly in the day before a game and will have some days to get adjusted, especially with a bye week.
